We are pleased to announce the reopening of our clinic once again. The Minster Clinic has always put the safety of patients at the forefront of what we do. Being a doctor-led skin Surgery and Dermatology service, we are a medical facility which is fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission.

Our robust clinical and infection control policies have allowed us to meet the Covid-19 challenge and adapt to ensure the continued safety of our patients and staff.

In line with social distancing guidance, we will be staggering appointments to minimise the number of patients in the building at any time. Some changes will no doubt make things feel a bit more impersonal, such as the adornment of appropriate PPE including, masks, aprons and face shields and gloves. We will be unable to offer refreshments and the reception area and toilet facilities will not be in use unless absolutely necessary.

Behind the scenes we have introduced pre-appointment Covid screening to ensure that patients screened for Coronavirus before the day of their appointment. Patients are also screened at the door before being allowed entry. On entry, hand-gel is offered to ensure hands are disinfected. It is important that appointment times are strictly adhered to as we will not be opening the doors to patients who arrive early due to safety reasons.

We have left extra time between patients to allow for deep cleaning of the practice between patients. In addition to the treatment room all surfaces that have been touched are disinfected, including door handles. If toilet facilities have been used, these will be deep cleaned between patients.

We understand that these are uncertain times, and we want you to know that we are taking every precaution to enable the clinic to operate safely and effectively.
