What are the common symptoms of Menopause?

Hot flushes are a common symptom of lower oestrogen levels. However many women notice a significant change in sleep, memory and mood during the menopause due to the wealth of oestrogen receptors in brain tissue that are suddenly noticing lower levels of oestrogen. Skin changes and joint issues are frequent. Oestrogen helps maintain collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid levels in the skin and connective tissues, and a decrease in oestrogen levels can affect the elasticity, hydration and flexibility of these tissues. The skin in more intimate areas can be significantly affected and can make sex uncomfortable and cause bladder issues.
