What is HydraFacial?

HydraFacial is an advanced medical-grade facial which improves the quality and appearance of the skin using a unique patented vortex technology to remove dead skin and impurities as well as to deliver powerful anti-oxidant botanical ingredients such as horse chestnut seed, red algae and green tea extract, and the most desirable nutrients such as hyaluronic acid, copper, zinc and magnesium peptides to hydrate the skin and improve collagen production.

Each step in the process enhances the next, leading to an effective revitalising facial treatment which will leave you with a healthy glow!

Is it for everyone?

Hydra facial is safe for all skin types. HydraFacial restores skin health with visible improvements in everyone, and is a safe, well tolerated treatment.

Who should avoid HydraFacial?

We do advise that HydraFacial is avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Patients who are on Roaccutane should avoid Hydrafacial treatment until 6 months after the medication is stopped.
Patients who have known allergies to honey, shellfish and aspirin should also not have Hydrafacial treatments.

How do the 6 steps in HydraFacial work?

1) Detoxification by stimulation of the lymphatic system - restores hydration and encourages the removal of toxins

2) Deep Cleanse and Exfoliation - removes the outer layers of dead skin and allows effective penetrations of serums, leading to healthy, glowing skin.

3) Gentle Acid Peel - softens the natural oils and impurities in the skin, allowing for more effective extraction, resulting in clearer skin.

4) Extraction of impurities/black heads - reduces pores and improves complexion.

5)Hydration and protection by infusion of antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid - improves skin texture, and promotes skin quality and health

6) Rejuvenation with LED lights - red light stimulates collagen production, reduces wrinkles and has an anti-inflammatory effect. Blue light kills acne- causing bacteria (if needed)

Are the results immediate?

You will notice the results immediately - your skin will have a healthy glow, and we will be able to show you the impurities and dead skin that have been extracted. There is no downtime, and HydraFacial treatments are perfect for those special occasions where you want to look your best!

What about aftercare?

No specific aftercare is required. However, regular moisturiser and good effective sun protection is important following treatment.

How often should I have the treatment?

HydraFacial is an ongoing investment in skin health. Ideally we would recommend one session a month to maintain Skin Health for Life. To make this cost-effective and affordable, we have packages of courses where discounts are applied for patients committing to regular treatments.
Hydrafacial can be used to treat problem skin such as skin affected by Acne or uneven pigmentation. In these instances, we recommend an intense course of 6 sessions once a week before moving on to monthly maintenance sessions.

Can HydraFacial be used together with other skin treatments?

HydraFacial is effective on its own, but can be used in conjunction with other treatments to optimise anti-ageing effects and skin health. For example, we will be introducing a combination package of treatments called HydraTixel - combining two very innovative and effective skin rejuvenation treatments to maximise skin rejuvenation with very little downtime!
